Naruse, a workaholic detective working on homicide cases, is strict with his subordinates and violent in his detection. Having pushed his bosses too far too many times, he finds himself shunted off to the PR department’s struggling brass band, which is on the brink of closure. Though reluctant at first, Naruse discovers the joy of making music with his workmates and starts to inspire them to do a better performances. He soon finds his own beat – as a drummer - and a chance for professional redemption.
