About the Toronto Japanese Film Festival

The Toronto Japanese Film Festival (TJFF) showcases the finest Japanese films that have been recognized for excellence by Japanese audiences and critics, international film festival audiences and the Japanese Film Academy.

After two successful virtual editions of the festival, our 2022 TJFF will return in person to the Kobayashi Hall from June 16 to June 30!

The TJFF showcases popular genres such as historical (samurai) jidaigeki, contemporary dramas, comedies and action, children’s, art-house and anime films.
