Frequently Asked Questions
- Where can I pick up my movie passes and gifts?
Please pick them up at the reception desk inside the building. We are open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends.
- How do I use the 5-ticket or 10-ticket passes?
On the day of the screening, simply present your pass to the staff or volunteers at admissions.
- Can I share my pass with family or friends?
Passes cannot be shared. Please note that a single pass cannot be used to redeem multiple tickets for the same screening.
- Is there a chance I won’t get a seat if I buy a 5-ticket or 10-ticket pass?
We ensure that seats are reserved for all pass holders.
- Can I reserve a specific seat in advance?
All seating is general admission (first-come, first-served). Attendees will have a choice of available seats in the order they arrive.
- How early can I enter the theatre?
Doors open 30 minutes before the movie begins.
- How many seats are available?
The theatre has a capacity of 450 seats.
- Is food and drink allowed inside the theatre?
Yes, you are welcome to bring food and drinks. With the exception of hot drinks, which are not allowed in the theatre. We appreciate your cooperation in disposing of any trash in the bins provided around the JCCC after the movie.
- Can I purchase food or drinks on-site?
Bento boxes will be available during the TorontoJFF (Toronto Japanese Film Festival) period. These will be provided by a local Japanese restaurant (TBC). Prices will be $13 + TicketWeb fees + HST online and $15 + HST in person. See TicketWeb links for each movie for more information.
* Not available for 4PM screenings or Open/Closing night.
* Online Bento sales close 3 days in advance of the screening for each movie at noon. Example a movie on the 11th would close sales at noon on the 8th. Bento can still be purchased in person on the day of, supply will be limited. - Is the venue accessible for people with mobility issues?
Yes, we have dedicated seating available. As space is limited, please speak to a staff member or volunteer on-site for assistance.
