Mikaela Demers - Dancer and Project Manager from Aeris Körper

Mikaela Demers is one of the Collaborators in the production of "Defined by Bone" presented at the JCCC in 2021.

Mikaela Demers is a dance artist originally from Northern Ontario, based in Hamilton. She is an alum of the School of Art, Media, Performance, and Design, and graduated from York University with a BFA in 2015. Mikaela has had the privilege of working as a performer for Sid Ryan Eilers, Megan English, Vanessa Jane Kimmons, Brian Solomon, Justin Fraser, and Fernando Troya, most recently performing in “Collapsing the Night” a full-length site-specific work set in a Tropical Greenhouse, choreographed by Lisa Emmons. Mikaela has continued her artistic research in professional workshops with Elke Schroder (Fighting Monkey), Matan David (Gaga), Jean Bui and Sovann Prom Tep (Rubberband Method), Emmanuelle Lê Phan (Tentacle Tribe), Eugenia Demeglio (Counter Technique), and Tess Letham (Flying Low and Passing Through).
