THE PROMISED LAND
Takeshi, devoted to his mother and a village outcast, mends and sell used items. At a Y-shaped intersection in the middle of a rice field near the village, a schoolgirl, Aika is kidnapped. Aika’s friend Tsugumi is traumatized, having been with Aika only minutes before she was kidnapped. On the same day, 12 years later, another girl disappears at the same intersection and villagers suspect Takeshi. In another part of the village, Zenjiro, a widower beekeeper, lives in growing isolation that pushes him towards committing a terrible crime.
