Manami is a single mother with a dream of becoming a boxer. But life hits hard when she loses her job defending a colleague. She falls into poverty and loses custody of her daughter Emi. She eventually lands a new job at a nursing home, but an accident puts her in a tight spot once again. To set her life straight and get her daughter back, Manami finally decides to conquer the boxing ring. 

An exciting underdog sports film and a moving tearjerker, Red Shoes, combines themes of mother-daughter connection with furious, edge-of-your-seat boxing matches!
