A Musical Celebration of the Cherry Blossoms with Traditional Japanese Melodies and Original Compositions

Acclaimed Japanese Canadian recording artist and composer Ron Korb is a master of Japanese woodwinds. He has performed on numerous Grammy Award-winning albums and his own work has received many Grammy nominations.

The evening is a rich musical interpretation of a traditional “Ohanami” (cherry blossom viewing party). Ron and his ensemble will be joined by koto and shamisen artist Aiko Fujii, the JCCC’s Kyowa Taiko traditional drum troupe, solo dance artist Atsuko Abeta, as well as Sakura-kai and Ayame-kai Odori Dancers.
