This charming comedy-drama centers on a Japanese corporate turnaround artist, Hideki who heads to Montana to deal with a struggling cattle ranch his company has inherited. The idea is to turn a profit by raising wagyu beef. His Japanese beef consultant Wada goes hilariously native, and Hideki immediately sees that his idea for a quick fix was mistaken. Now unsettled and off the grid in an alien culture, Hideki recalibrates his values and his life goals. Owner Peg, and Mexican ranch hand Javier help Hideki see that there is more to live for than just the bottom line and rising sales figures. When Hideki fails to come home on time Keiko, his fiancé and company VP, is sent to bring him back.
