ONE SUMMER STORY

High school student Minami has a happy life with her mom and stepdad, enjoys swimming, and her favorite anime “Buffalo Koteko the Magical Plasterer”. However, a mysterious handwritten talisman in the mail sets off a chain of events that peak her interest in her biological father.

Through Shohei, her friend in the shodo calligraphy club, she learns that her father was the leader of an infamous cult and has disappeared. Minami masterminds a plan to sneak off from her summer swim camp to track down her enigmatic dad. Thus her summer adventure begins….

A “languid, sun-soaked exploration of self discovery and the nature of familial connection”, this heartfelt and uplifting coming-of-age story is based on Tajima Rettou’s award winning manga.
