The Antique

Shioriko is passionate about books and runs an antique book store in Kamakura. Her new clerk Daisuke is unable to read novels due to a traumatic incident with his grandmother as a child. When the store’s most valuable antique book is targeted by a mysterious collector, Shioriko and Daisuke work together to reveal the secret of the rare book and, inadvertently, uncover his grandmother’s own literary secret.

Based on the popular novels by En Mikami, a must-see for both mystery fans and book lovers.

鎌倉の片隅に佇む古書店「ビブリア古書堂」。亡き祖母の遺品の中から出てきた、夏目漱石の「それから」に記された著者のサインの真偽を確かめに、過去の出来事から本が読めなくなった五浦大輔(野村周平)がその店にやって来る。美しく若き店主の篠川栞子（黒木華）は極度の人見知りだったが、ひとたび本を手にすると、その可憐な唇からとめどなく知識が溢れ出す。その後栞子を手伝うことになった大輔は、太宰治の｢晩年｣の希少本をめぐって、彼女が謎の人物から脅迫されていることを知る。
