Interview with Nana Nishimura (April 30, 2014, Jewish Connections)

Nana Nishimura's interview was conducted on April 30, 2014 by Elizabeth Fujita. 

In this interview, Elizabeth asks Nana about her interactions with the Jewish community, her mother's work history, and Nana's work history.

The Jewish Connections interviews were collected in 2014 to document ties between the Jewish and Japanese Canadian communities following the Second World War. These targeted interviews were part of an effort to highlight and honour Jewish Canadians' generosity towards the Japanese Canadian community for the JCCC’s 2014 Sakura Gala. Quotations from the interviews were also used in the in-house exhibition Celebrating the Friendship Between Canada’s Jewish and Japanese Communities.
