Description
The interview is about Stan Hiraki, beginning with his childhood in Toronto before moving to Vancouver. He detailes his time growing up in Vancouver, such as schooling, his parent's boarding house, Powell Street, and watching the Asahi. During the internment his family was sent to East Lillooet, where he taught as a teacher before moving to London. Eventually he received a permit from the Security Commission to move to Toronto, where he experienced discrimination in employment, education, and automobiles.
