Description

The interview is about Umeko Kuba and her family's life in both Steveston and Japan. She was interned in Kaslo, and she talks about her childrens' schooling, public baths and food, in addition to celebrating New Years and Christmas. She discusses moving to Winnipeg and pushing against "repatriation" (emigration to Japan after WWII). After the war she moved to Toronto, and then St. Catherines, where she became involved with the church.
