This fall, join us at the JCCC for a new seasonal experience celebrating Japanese and Japanese Canadian culture through creativity, connection, and hands-on activities.
Inspired by the nostalgic charm of Japan and the cozy feeling of autumn transitioning into winter, Aki no Tabi is a place to slow down, create, connect, and enjoy the season together.

A.S.M. Kobayashi Artist Talk
Join award-winning interdisciplinary artist A.S.M. Kobayashi for an engaging talk exploring her creative practice through found recordings, everyday objects, performance, and storytelling.
Discover her 20-year artistic journey, including her acclaimed performance Say Something Bunny!, and her latest work, Electric Neon Clock, which transforms her family's WWII internment records into an immersive installation combining archival materials, video, sound, and performance.
A.S.M. Kobayashi
Based in Toronto and NYC, A.S.M. Kobayashi is an internationally recognized artist working across performance, video, installation, and illustration. She is a Creative Capital Awardee and a fellow of Yaddo and MacDowell. Her solo exhibition, Electric Neon Clock, is on view at the Art Gallery of Mississauga until October 25, with live performances from October 21–24.
