Issei Day 2025
A Tribute to the Seniors of our Community
The Board of Directors of the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre extends an invitation to Issei Day on Sunday, October 5, 2025, and would like to welcome all who are 70 years of age and older.
This year will be the 63rd year of celebrating Issei Day! We are so excited to welcome you back with a day full of activities, with entertainment of songs and odori. As usual there will be a wonderful and tasty bento served during intermission. The program begins at 2pm and concludes around 4:30pm.
To accommodate everyone with seating and a bento, we require that everyone pre-register. Registration will open on Monday, September 1 and the deadline will be Monday, September 22. It is wonderful to see so many of our seniors come to this event but there is a maximum capacity to ensure everyone can sit, relax and enjoy the afternoon, so don’t delay - register today!
