Jon Nagamatsu

Jon recently joined the JCCC Board and Finance Committee, given his parents’ support to the JCCC and passion for exposing their 5 children to the Japanese culture, including various activities and events such as Language School, Caravan, Spring Festival, Bazaar, music concerts, and judo. Jon is also part of the executive of the JC 3-Pitch softball league, which he joined in 2005.

Jon holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in co-op accountancy from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant. Jon is also a long-standing member of the Finance, Audit & Investment Committee for Parkinson Canada, a member of the Finance Committee and Board for ACO (Adoption Council of Ontario), and volunteers his time to CPA Ontario and DECA. During his downtime, Jon enjoys spending time with his family in the GTA, traveling and playing a variety of sports, including golf, hockey, and tennis. Jon serves as Managing Partner in DHR Global’s Financial Officers Practice, based in the firm’s Toronto office. Combining strong expertise in finance & accounting and a demonstrated history working in the human capital industry, Jon is a trusted advisor to his clients seeking top talent from emerging leaders to executives. Jon’s 18 years of human capital experience spans financial, operational, and human resources roles across a variety of industry sectors including, Business & Professional Services, Private Equity, Real Estate, Consumer & Retail, Financial Services, and Not-for-Profit.

Jon also served as Partner / Managing Director at global human capital and boutique finance & accounting recruitment firms following his ~15 years in public accounting at PwC, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and assurance services.
