Arigato Day

Arigato Day

The spirit of community and volunteerism is the foundation on which the JCCC is built.

The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre is extremely appreciative of the many individuals and groups who volunteer their support to JCCC programs and special events throughout the year. As a token of our gratitude, the JCCC Board of Directors invites JCCC volunteers to join us for our annual Arigato Day.

Arigato Day is an informal social time that begins with games like Bingo and a JCCC trivia contest with prizes to be won! It’s an opportunity to meet other volunteers, have fun, and meet the Board of Directors as they serve a delicious “bento dinner.” The event finishes with an award ceremony recognizing the recipients of the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards sponsored by the Government of Ontario and a presentation of the Nisei Veteran Award.

All active volunteers at the JCCC are invited to this event. Registration is required to ensure enough bento are available to accommodate everyone. Please check the JCCC newsletter or wait for an email for the date and time.
