Paradise Opening Night Reception

In the multimedia exhibit, Paradise, which includes sculpture, print, and video, Japanese Canadian artists and childhood friends Emma Nishimura and Mitchell Akiyama grapple with their family histories of internment. They consider how utopian worlds are created through resilience and displacement, while urging us to remember that utopia for some may not be utopia for all. Find out more about the exhibit here.
