Takehiko "Tak" Yoshida's interview was conducted on May 21, 2013 by Elizabeth Fujita-Kwan. Tak talks about his family’s struggles living in Tokyo, Japan immediately after the war. He recounts his teenage years after he joined a program with the Hitachi Company. In this clip, viewers will find out why Tak decided to emigrate to Canada in the 1960s and becoming part of the Shin-Ijusha community in Toronto. Tak talks about learning English, getting involved in the Japanese Canadian community, and his career in establishing a successful catering company. Tak also became an important volunteer and at one point served as a Board of Directors at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.
