Redefining Home: A Story of Japanese Canadian Resettlement in Toronto

Redefining Home, a travelling exhibit from Campbell House Museum explores the history of Japanese Canadian through the lives of Harold and Hana Kawasoe. The exhibit dives into the family history of the Kawasoe and how Harold and Hana came to live in the attic of Campbell House from 1948 to 1951.

Visitors are encouraged to consider different aspects of Japanese Canadian history through this exhibit remembering that even in times of injustice, kindness by individuals can be celebrated.

The exhibit runs from June 1 to August 31, 2019.
