The festival is very excited to welcome award-winning director, writer, producer YUJI KAKIZAKI (Even in Another Life, These Times Won’t be Forgotten, The Second Security Unit) and cast members MASAYUKI DEAI (Takashi Miike’s First Love, 47 Ronin), YUKA TAKASHIMA (When the Sun Falls, The Lady from Satsuma) and acclaimed singer/actress TSUKASA ITO (Even in Another Life, These Times Won’t be Forgotten).
The Usuke Boys won Best Foreign Language Feature Film and Best Lead Actor at the 2018 Madrid International Film Festival, Best Lead Actor and Best Director at the Amsterdam International Filmmaker Festival, and Best Foreign Language Feature Film and Best Supporting Actor at the Milan International Filmmaker Festival.
