JCCC Wins the Community Heritage Award from Heritage Toronto

"The Community Heritage Award goes to Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. The JCCC offers cultural programs to 5,200 members and over 210,000 annual visitors to promote Japanese culture and Japanese Canadian heritage.

The jury was impressed by the depth and breadth of the JCCC’s programming given its modest staff of 20. The jury also remarked on the level of engagement outside of the Japanese Canadian community and the over 1000 volunteers who support the organization."
(Karen Whaley, Chair of the Heritage Toronto Juries Committee)

We are excited to announce that the JCCC had been awarded the 2021 Community Heritage Award from Heritage Toronto! The JCCC would like to thank all JCCC's incredible volunteers (past and present) for contributing their valuable time to ensuring the JCCC continue to serve the Japanese Canadian community as well as other community groups in the region. We would also like to thank JCCC members, JCCC staff and board members, as well as individuals and groups who have supported the JCCC.
