Ten Ten & Korokoro Ensembles Concert

The concert opens with ten ten, featuring acclaimed vocalist and shamisen player Aki Takahashi, joined by Heidi Chan on Japanese drums and percussion, and special guest Kiyo Asaoka (flamenco). Together, they weave expressive vocals, driving rhythms, and flamenco influences into a strikingly original sound.
The second half showcases Korokoro, led by renowned taiko artists Kiyoshi Nagata and Akemi Akachi, with guest collaborators Dylan Tomiharu Wright and Kevin He on Japanese bamboo flutes and taiko. Their performance blends precision, power, and playfulness, highlighting the versatility of taiko drumming.
