Over 30 years of travel to Japan and this love of Japanese culture have helped shape his professional business career. His company, The Sky’s The Limit International has been doing business in Japan for over 25 years, representing many well-known Canadian and international Food and Beverage manufacturers in the Japanese market. With this practical experience, he has also lectured for Agriculture Canada across Canada on how to do business in Japan. He continues to provide this guidance to other Canadian industries wanting to do business with Japanese companies.
Cary recently joined the art committee at the JCCC. His love of art fostered and thrived during the 20-year period that his family owned a well-known gallery in Toronto. He has served on the Sakura Gala committee from the initial event onwards and has been inspired in seeing the importance of the event grow in prominence as it honors those who played roles that have impacted the Japanese Canadian community in a positive way. He Co-Chaired the Sakura Gala that honored both the Toronto Jewish community and the Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara in 2014.
Known to have a camera with him at all times, Cary has helped document many important events at the JCCC and Momiji. He has been a contributor of articles and photographs to the Nikkei Voice for many years.
