TORONTO JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL PACKS ITS BAGS FOR TOKYO FOR THE 5TH YEAR!
From October 13 to 20 the JCCC will again be partnering with Tokyo Midtown Hibiya to introduce eight subtitled sections from the TJFF-curated line-up. The English subtitles mean that not only Japanese but also non-Japanese residents of the capital can appreciate the films. Special guests in past years have included Hirokazu Kore-eda, Non, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Mitsuhito Fujii, Akiko Ohku and Yukiko Mishima.
This year’s titles include festival favourites FATHER OF THE MILKY WAY RAILROAD, OFFBEAT COPS and WE’RE BROKE, MY LORD! The directors will attend each screening to introduce their films.
