3-Day Bilingual Japan x Canada Online Summer Camp

*Ages between 4 and 10*

 

Missing Japan? The JCCC is bringing Japan into your homes.

For the first time, the JCCC is collaborating with professionals in Japan (and in Canada) to offer a summer camp for children online. Make the most of the remainder of the summer, and give children an opportunity to engage in wholesome learning and hands-on activities.

 


SCHEDULE

 

Each workshop is 45 minutes to 1 hour. Classes will be taught in English and Japanese (English translation will be provided for Japanese instructors).

 

DAY 1: AUGUST 19, 2020 [9:00 AM]
CULTURAL DIFFERENCE WORKSHOP by AIKO KOMORI
Explore international cultures with Japanese instructor who has travelled the world. This time, Aiko will be presenting the cultural differences among Kenya, England and Vietnam.

 

DAY 2: AUGUST 20, 2020 [9:00 AM]
NIKKEI KIDS COOKING WORKSHOP by THERESSA TAKASAKI
Learn the evolutions of the Japanese Canadian community through food and stories.

 

DAY 3: AUGUST 21, 2020 [9:00 AM]
JAPANESE KIDS COOKING WORKSHOP by MICHIKO TSUJITA
Engage in hands-on cooking lessons led by cooking instructor in Japan.

The 3-day Japan x Canada online summer camp is open to JCCC family members. If you do not have yet a family membership, please contact us at jccc@jccc.on.ca and we can assist you. To learn more about our membership, click here.

FEE:
$50 (HST incl.) per family

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Fees are applicable to each Zoom log-in.
  • Be sure that the log-in name to the Zoom workshop matches the name on the registration. Each participant is verified by the name on their registration.
  • Parent/guardian must be present during the workshop.
  • Please note that for online registrations, additional handling fees may be charged by TicketWeb.
